The NHS COVID-19 notice issue.
Google says its working rapidly to investigate problems with Android apps that utilize the Android Exposure Notifications System to track the spread of COVID-19. An unknown concern is causing apps to take longer to pack or conduct regular direct exposure checks. The NHS COVID-19 app thats used throughout England and Wales is impacted by this Android issue, with a loading notice stuck in the alerts location for many users.
Google initially introduced its coronavirus tracking system for Android in April 2020. The app uses Bluetooth to anonymously relay information and help make it possible for track and trace programs worldwide.
We understand that Google is working urgently to recognize the source of these concerns and remedy them as soon as possible. These issues are affecting all apps worldwide that use the Android Exposure Notifications System.
” We are aware of a concern impacting Android apps established using the Android Exposure Notifications System,” says a Google spokesperson in a statement to The Verge. “Our engineers are examining the concern.”
