Overwatchs brand-new free-for-all deathmatch map Kanezaka, whose action unfurls on the streets of Tokyo underneath the mist-shrouded heft of Shimada Castle, is now live.
Kanezaka blends generally styled alleyways with Tokyos more contemporary city sprawl, all brought to life through some wonderfully abundant ecological detail, varying from available restaurants and arcades to a pottery workshop, and even an especially cosy looking feline café.
Back in Decembers Kanezaka-focussed designer update, Blizzards Jeff Kaplan explained the map is packed with easter eggs, some teasing future Overwatch tradition and others merely fun things associating with the development team. Kaplan noted, for example, the abovementioned cat café includes pictures of felines belonging to staff member.
