The Chases Darragh Ennis addresses fans sacked concerns after being missing from show – Manchester Evening News

The Chase’s newest quizzer has addressed fans concerns that he has been ‘sacked’ after being ‘missing’ from the show.

New Chaser Darragh ‘the Menace’ Ennis was introduced last year and made his debut in November.

But following recent episodes, fans of the ITV quiz show were questioning his whereabouts after not being seen for a while.

“Have they sacked The Menace? #TheChase,” one asked.

Another said: “Has Darragh just not recorded many post-lockdown episodes? This is ridiculous.”

“Have they got rid of my Darragh already,” added a third.

But worry not, he’s addressed the speculation and he hasn’t gone anywhere.

He tweeted: “Sigh. I’ve not been sacked.

“The nature of random scheduling means sometimes we don’t have a show air for a little while, and sometimes we’re on 2 or 3 times in a week.”

Darragh has previously been a contestant on The Chase, with his episode being watched by millions and prompted the Twitter hashtag #justicefordarragh.

The Irish quizmaster, 47, is the sixth Chaser joining Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha and Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan.
