The host of popular ITV gameshow Tipping Point has paid an emotional homage to a candidate who appeared on the show but passed away before their episode was relayed.
Viewers raced to respond on social media after viewing the episode, sending their thoughts to her friends and family.
Winning contestant Margaret, whose appearance was aired on Friday afternoon, never ever got to see her minute of victory herself after she unfortunately passed away after her winning episode was shot.
One fan tweeted: “Oh thats actually sad. I do not understand when it was filmed but I hope Margaret and her spouse got to go to India,” and another responded: “Margaret was definitely charming. I actually hope she had the chance to enjoy her cash and reward.”
Presenter Ben Shephard validated that they went ahead and aired the episode on the wishes of her family as he honoured her in a Twitter post.
When asked about how she planned to spend her reward, she talked enthusiastically of a trip to India, and likewise a brand-new fence for her home.
A 3rd published: “We were simply viewing it and commented how lovely a lady she was. How unfortunate.”
He composed: “This was such a charming show, and Margaret was a extremely unique and worthwhile winner. We were so sorry to hear of her passing, but her enjoyed ones were keen that her episode was revealed and delighted in.
But it was revealed that after reaching out to her family ahead of the airing of the episode, ITV learned she had died.
Tipping Point airs weeknights at 4pm on ITV.

While she did not win the top reward of ₤ 10,000 she did entrust to a nice amount of cash totalling ₤ 2,650. She picked not to gamble her winnings, and Ben provided her a hug before congratulating her.
Margaret beat the other candidates in her episode to handle the huge maker at the end.
