Coventrys Alex Harry gets through first round of The Voice to join team Olly – Coventry Live

The winner will be selected by Olly to go through to the semi-final.

He appeared on the show tonight (January 16) performing a version of the song idontwannabeyouanymore by Billie Eilish.

A Coventry musician has actually made it through the preliminary of ITV talent show The Voice after getting a chair turn from Olly Murs.

Despite just getting one-chair turn from judge Olly Murs, he received praised from the other judges, stating he had great singing ability.

Judge also seemed very focused on Alexs socks.

Alex is now through to the next round of the competitors and will participate in a head-to-head fight against a staff member.

Alex Harry, 27, from Tile Hill, is well-known in Coventry having carried out at the Godiva Festival and running a variety of open-mic nights.

He has actually carried out twice on the Godiva Festival main stage, and has also recently released a single to commemorate the 2021 City of Culture win called Brighter Day

You can see The Voice at 8.30 pm on Saturdays, on ITV.

Alex also put his imaginative abilities to work during the pandemic, to raise money for NHS charities. Bringing 22 local artists together, consisting of Little Mix The Search winner Harry Holles, Alex produced a cover of Foo Fighters tune Times Like These.
