Coronation Street spoilers: End of an era as the Platts leave the street tonight –

Theyre seemingly dreading the relocation, and Gail wastes little time in telling Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) that she feels too old to be slumming it on a rough council estate.

He thought that this was the right course of action, after Ray manipulated him into it.

(Picture: ITV) Its the end of an age in Coronation Street tonight (January 18) as David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) leave No. 8– and the eponymous street.

As a result, the Platts need to abandon the properties.

Of course, the hotelier was merely out to benefit himself, as he desperately desired his hands on No. 8– not to mention lots of other residential or commercial properties– for the functions of his redevelopment project.

David sold No. 8 to Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) last year, after the sinkhole appeared in his back garden and he couldnt afford to get it fixed.

The question is: will Nick enable her to relocate with he and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan)?
