A letter penned by the Duchess of Sussex to her daddy “indicated completion of our relationship”, he told the High Court today.
In a witness declaration Thomas Markle, 76, said the correspondence– which is at the heart of legal action his child is bringing versus the Mail on Sunday– was a “criticism” of him rather than an attempt at reconciliation. In it, he stated, she did not even ask about the heart attack which he had actually suffered.
Meghan, 39, is taking legal action against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Mail On Sunday and MailOnline, over a series of articles which recreated parts of the handwritten letter sent to Mr Markle in August 2018.
