Skyrim fans with access to a PlayStation 5 can now join their Xbox Series X/S brethren and provide Bethesdas ageing fantasy RPG a little bit of a visual increase approximately 60fps courtesy of a newly released mod – and itll deal with Trophies enabled too.
The Skyrim mod in question can be seen in all its 60fps magnificence in a brand-new video published to YouTube by mod author Wrighton – and if you like what you see, all you require do to trigger 60fps on PlayStation 5 is download and make it possible for the mod via Skyrims in-game mod menu, then either boot up an existing save or begin a brand-new video game.
Its worth noting that the mod is available on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro too, although performance improvements will clearly vary by machine.
Skyrim, 60fps, PS5!What makes the mod extra unique, though, is that it can be run it without disabling Trophies. Simply enable the mod and download as above, begin a brand-new video game or save, then stopped back out to the primary menu. From there, its merely a matter of disabling or deleting the mod via the proper menu, after which youll find any video game you begin still runs at 60fps.
Do keep in mind that Trophies will stay unavailable if other mods are running, and that youll need to duplicate the process to enable 60fps each time you boot up Skyrim once again.
Xbox One X/S owners wishing to perform similar magic on their own consoles need to take a look at Digital Foundrys current run-down of the options offered on Microsofts devices.
And with Trophies enabled too.
