Coronation Street – Kym Marsh gives update on soap return –

Coronation Street‘s Kym Marsh has provided an update on whether fans can expect her to return as Michelle Connor.

The star was last seen on the cobbles in December 2019, and said at the time that her intention was to come back one day after trying new things.

In an interview with Entertainment Daily, Kym shared that she ‘misses’ the show and being on set. She also reiterated her desire to play Michelle again in the future.

“I really do miss everyone,” she said. “I really miss the street. When I left, I always said I’d come back one day, and I will. I just needed to get out and take a little breather and do some other things.

“I have no doubt probably one day that I’ll go back there and dip my toe back, but right now I’m far too busy at the moment.”

Kym added that she initially had doubts about the timing of her exit from the ITV soap, as it happened just before the coronavirus pandemic started.

“I have been really busy and I’ve been so fortunate, but obviously the year I left was really weird,” she explained.

Earlier this month, Helen Flanagan also said she misses “everything” about the show and will return “when the time is right”.
