There’s a new update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, and it’s bringing some major changes to games.
It’s time for yet another update for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, this one bringing some new and returning content. Both standard Call of Duty Multiplayer and battle royale fans have something to look forward to in the January 21 update.
Thanks to a recent Call of Duty blog, we know exactly what’s coming in the new update. However, not all players will be happy about what new content is coming their way.
After all, when bringing in something new, Warzone tends to take an existing feature away in exchange!
New Warzone Playlists in January 21 Update
According to Activision, in the new update, we’ll be saying goodbye to the fan-favorite Warzone Buy Back Solos. Rebirth Island Resurgence Quads and Mini Royale Solos will also be leaving.
It’s not all bad news though, as the new Warzone playlists see the return of Regular Warzone Solos, as well as Rebirth Island Resurgence Duos.
These playlists may not stick around forever, but they’re confirmed to be live until January 28.
New Operator in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone – Zeyna
Meanwhile, on Black Ops Cold War, a new Operator is being added to the game’s roster. Zeyna Ossou will soon be available in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
The NATO wild card motorhead arrives today, in the “Zeyna Operator Bundle.” This bundle is set to contain two Legendary Weapon Blueprints “The Cleaver” and “The Scalpel.”
It also comes packed with the Epic “Finishing Touch” switchblade Blueprint for the Combat Knife.
Hopefully, Activision has learned its lesson and none of these Blueprints will make Warzone Pay to Win again.
More New Blueprints for Warzone and Cold War
That isn’t all that’s coming to the Call of Duty store either. Both the “Big Joke” and “Anime Assassin” bundles are arriving with the January 21 update.
We’ve already seen what’s to come in the former, with a “Clown” skin for Baker and two Weapon Blueprints. First off, there’s the “Fool Proof” Legendary Marksman Rifle, which coasts the M16 in paint platter and some laughing graffiti.
Second, we’re getting “The Punchline”, an Epic Shotgun that has already been present in Warzone Supply Caches for some time.
What’s coming in the Anime Assassin bundle, we’ll have to wait and find out. However, Activision promises two Legendary Weapon Blueprints “with some serious anime flair.”
New Black Ops Cold War Playlist: Snipers Only Moshpit
Sniper fans rejoice, as Black Ops Cold War is getting a new playlist dedicated to long-range combat.
In Snipers Only Moshpit, players can look forward to 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Domination, using only sniper rifles.
These matches will feature restrictions of lethal and tactical equipment, as well as some of Black Ops Cold War’s best Scorestreaks, to ensure the games are filled with true sniper-only combat.
In other recent news, one major streamer has been accused of cheating in a Warzone tournament by a pro player.
Lately, other high-profile players such as NICKMERCS have had to defend themselves from cheating accusations.
Hopefully, these issues get addressed soon, as competitive Warzone is about to come to the Call of Duty League.
