Kate Garraway left in hysterics over Ben Shephards remark about his undercarriage – Mirror Online

Kate Garraway had the giggles on Good Morning Britain on Friday, after a cheeky comment from co-host Ben Shephard.

The pair were interviewing Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas on the show, when both ladies urged Ben to take part in the BBC series.

Shirley complimented his shoulders and neck, predicting he might do well on the series.

But Ben left Kate stunned, when he responded that his “back end and undercarriage” might be a problem.

Kate first brought up the topic of Strictly, after their co-star Ranvir Singh took part in the latest series.

She said: “Talking of volunteers, we were so proud of Ranvir on Strictly and we’re trying to get Ben Shephard to volunteer for Strictly Come Dancing.”

Shirley approved of the idea as Kate added: “What do you think of Ben taking part next year?”

Shirley replied: “Well, first of all, Ben has a beautiful neck and shoulder line.”

Interrupting, Ben quickly ended the hope by saying: “Well look Shirley I am very flattered you think my neck and shoulders are in the right frame.

“Unfortunately, the back end and the undercarriage don’t match. That’s my experience.”

“Wow, that escalated!” Kate blurted out, after laughing off the moment.

But Ben’s next remark left her in stitches, with co-star Alex Beresford heard roaring with laughter in the background.

As he introduced the weather segment, Ben he said: “Alex Beresford has a lovely undercarriage. Alex…”

Kate screamed: “I knew you were going to say that!”

As Alex appeared on screen, he began looking down at his trousers and said: “Hello? Hello?”

Kate suddenly quipped: “Checking out your undercarriage?” and Alex joked back: “Don’t know where it’s gone…”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
