She has long been rumoured to be one of the secret singers competing in the hit ITV show.
Naga has so far managed to dodge the gossip without confirming or denying whether she’s been competing.
However, Masked Singer fans revived the theory this morning when Naga was missing from her Saturday morning slot on BBC Breakfast.
She recently changed her hours to fit in with her new role on BBC Radio 5 Live, appearing on the BBC sofa from Thursday to Saturday.
However, she was missing from today’s show and was replaced by Rachel Burden who hosted alongside Charlie Stayt.
Viewers are now convinced she was absent from the sofa because she was filming some extra scenes for The Masked Singer.
Another wrote: “Will you be practicing your next song for #TheMaskedSingerUK?”
Naga’s name was previously mentioned by the judges on the show last weekend, with Davina McCall suggesting her for Harlequin, saying: “Breakfast news, Naga Munchetty.”
However, Rita Ora disagreed saying: “There’s no way that voice is breakfast news,” while host Joel Dommett then commented: “It’s a nice prospect of someone singing breakfast news.”
Last Monday, Naga commented on the gossip on her radio show, but didn’t actually deny she’s been secretly singing on TV.
She said: “Singing breakfast news… I don’t know who that voice was saying, ‘There’s no way that could be a breakfast news host.’ But hmmm…
“But anyway, what do you think? What it got us talking about… and no we will not be saying whether or not I am Harlequin, that’s for the programme to continue and to keep you guessing.”
Naga then added: “All I would say is I think Harlequin has a fantastic voice and gave a fantastic performance.”
