THE UNDERTAKER could be set for a WWE return just THREE MONTHS after announcing his retirement.
Taker, 55, hung up his boots in November in a farewell at Survivor Series, exactly 30 years on from his debut.
But with WrestleMania right around the corner, reports suggest the Deadman – real name Mark Calaway – is in line for a comeback.
According to insider account @WrestleVotes, Undertaker’s future is not yet decided.
They add that most those backstage think he is ‘done’ with his career, but could be convinced otherwise by WWE boss Vince McMahon.
It comes after the WWE announced a two-night Mania card on April 10 and 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
John Cena and Goldberg are potential stars in the pipeline to headline.
Despite rumours of a Taker return, the 55-year-old recently called the WWE’s current product ‘a little soft’ and appeared content in retirement.
He said on the Joe Rogan Experience: “The product has changed so much and it’s kind of off.
“I’ll probably piss a lot of people off but they need to hear it. It is what it is.
“To the young guys (who think) he’s a bitter old guy, I’m not bitter. I did my time, I walked away when I wanted to walk away.
“I just think the product is a little soft.
“There’s guys here and there that have an edge to them but there’s too much pretty and not enough substance I think right now.”
