Dancing On Ice fans will see some extra sparkle on the rink tonight with the shock return of Gemma Collins to the winter sport reality show.
The 39-year-old was a contestant on the show back in 2019 where she was paired with professional skater Matt Evers, and famously clashed with now ex-judge Jason Gardiner.
Now the TOWIE legend is set to make a surprise return to the ice to add an extra layer of fun and glamour to the current 13th season of the long-running ITV show.
Details of Gem’s appearance have leaked ahead of Sunday night’s live show – with the star set to make a dramatic entrance by being lowered on a trapeze while giant diamonds dangle above the ice.
A show source told The Sun on Sunday: “Gemma is part of the show’s family now — and everyone’s really excited that she is coming back.
“The props department have gone all out with her sparkling trapeze hoop.
“She has a reputation of being a diva, but she’ll be on best behaviour and she will be on time.”
During her appearance on Dancing On Ice in 2019, Gemma won over fans with her impressive skills on the ice, her endurance following a horror fall, and for standing her ground during disputes with 49-year-old ex-judge Jason.
The Aussie ice skating expert made ungentlemanly comments about Gemma’s weight and commitment to the rink – sparking a backlash from viewers.
While Gem was praised for holding her own against Jason, and also for championing on after taking a tumble on the ice which saw her almost break her jaw and neck.
The current series includes a string of famous faces who are hoping to scoop the trophy by skating to victory.
Ex-TOWIE star Billie Shepherd, TV presenter Denise van Outen, ex-Corrie star Faye Brookes, music sensation Lady Leshurr, radio host Myleene Klass, and WAG beauty Rebekah Vardy are battling for the title.
While Olympic legend Colin Jackson, TV host Graham Bell, acting icon Jason Donovan, Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant, comedian Rufus Hound, and radio host Sonny Jay are also competing in the show.
