Nick Berry is best known for playing EastEnders’ hunky barman Simon Wicks.
But now if fans spotted him they may be taken aback by his appearance, as he has totally transformed since his days as. TV star.
Nick not only appeared in the BBC soap in his heyday but boasted roles on Heatbeat, In Deep and Harbour Lights.
In 2003 he turned his back on his glittering career on the small screen to become a stay at home father to his two sons – Louis and Finley – who he shares with wife Rachel Robertson.
And on Saturday the 57-year-old was spotted out on a walk with his other half and their pet pooch in Epping Forest in Essex – where he looked unrecognisable.
The former acting sensation, who used to have a clean-cut look, put on a happy display as he strolled along with silver hair and a chin of stubble.
Beaming as he held onto his fluffy dog, Nick cut a relaxed figure for his weekend outing in bootcut jeans teamed with grey T-shirt underneath a khaki jacket.
The last time EastEnders fans caught a glimpse of Nick in Albert Square was back in 2012 where he returned for a one-off to film scenes for the funeral of his on-screen mum Pat Butcher.
After leaving EastEnders, Nick scooped a part in ITV’s police drama Heartbeat as Nick Rowan and he stayed on the show for six years.
Following Heartbeat went on to star in Harbour Lights as Mike Nicholls which lasted from 1999- 2000.
He then appeared on In Deep as Liam Ketman from 2001-2003.
Nick previously spoke to MailOnline about his decision to give up acting for the role of a doting dad.
“I chose to be a stay-at-home dad and have loved it,” he told.
“I always said that when the boys were teenagers I could go back, but the longer you don’t do something the harder it is to do it, and I haven’t really missed it.
“While I’d never say never, I’m genuinely happy as I am.”
