TOWIEs Gemma Collins returns to Dancing on Ice for performance –

Dancing on Ice is set to experience a blast from the past in tonight’s show (January 24), as former contestant and The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins is going to be making a special guest appearance.

Gemma took part in the show in 2019, partnered with professional skater Matt Evers, finishing in eighth place in that series of the reality show and taking a dramatic and memorable tumble in one episode.

ITV has now confirmed to Digital Spy that Gemma will guest on tonight’s episode of the skating show, taking part in a special performance.

According to The Sun, this will see her lowered onto the ice in a trapeze hoop. The stunt would echo the one she performed during Musicals Week while on the show, which saw her suspended in the air while sitting in a giant hoop designed to look like a diamond ring.

Gemma herself hasn’t publicly spoken about her Dancing on Ice return yet.

One person who will be missing from this weekend’s show is current contestant Rufus Hound, who is isolating for 10 days after coming into contact with someone outside of the show who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Rufus’ professional skating partner Robin Johnstone also won’t be on the show tonight, although she is exempt from self-isolation, while both will return as soon as they can.

Last weekend’s series premiere saw Rufus take to the ice alongside fellow contestants Jason Donovan, Joe-Warren Plant, Denise van Outen, Lady Leshurr and Rebekah Vardy, with Lady Leshurr landing in the skate-off in a shock result.

The rapper and her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield will now face the pair who finish bottom of the overall leaderboard in tonight’s show in the dreaded skate-off, with one couple set to be eliminated.

Taking to the ice tonight will be Sonny Jay, Faye Brooks, Graham Bell, Colin Jackson, Myleene Klass and Billie Shepherd, all of whom will be hoping to impress judges Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman.

Dancing on Ice continues tonight (January 24) at 6pm on ITV.
