Riverdale unveils first look at Archie Andrews flashforward – digitalspy.com

Riverdale has unveiled a first look at Archie Andrews’s flashforward.

Next Wednesday (February 10), the CW drama will air the much-anticipated seven-year time jump, picking up with Archie and the rest of the gang after their college years.

Now, a new teaser and a series of first-look images have given us an idea of what they’ll all be up to in the future.

Archie himself has quite clearly signed up for the army, and we even get to see him on what appears to be an American football pitch. After getting injured in battle, we then see him lying in military hospital, with an officer asking him if he’s “ready to go home”.

Jughead, meanwhile, is a published writer struggling with writer’s block, tearing up his work in frustration. And it turns out Veronica is now married to some guy called Chadwick, which makes for an awkward encounter with Archie.

Most intriguing, though, Betty appears to have joined the FBI and we get to see her training in the woods. We then hear a therapist say that she’s suffered “severe trauma” before a flashback shows her being held captive by some creepy masked guy.
