Former EastEnders star Michael Greco announced he’s going to become a dad for the first time at 51.
The actor, 50, told fans on Instagram it was the “greatest post” he’s ever shared on social media as he told the world about his baby joy.
He built up a huge following when he played Beppe di Marco in EastEnders.
Now Michael hailed his girlfriend Helen Harris as his “absolute soulmate” in the glowing Instagram post which he shared with 48.7k followers.
In a gushing message, Michael was delighted to tell everyone it was the “best news I could ever dream of”.
His lengthy message read: “Baby Greco. First time daddy at 51! Probably the greatest post I’ve ever shared.
“Cant explain how emotional it was for me to be told that I am to be a father for the very first time, with my absolute soul mate.
“I’m normally a very private person but I couldn’t help reveal my utter joy and I just want to tell the world!
“In these devastating times that we are all facing right now, this is the best news I could ever dream of.
“My heart is full and I love you more than life itself Baby G. Xxx.”
Delighted Michael also shared the baby scan picture and his news on Twitter.
He wrote: “Am delighted and extremely happy to share the news that I’m going to be a first time daddy at 51!
“If it’s good enough for Rod and Mick then it’s good enough for me. I love you Baby Greco!”
Michael has kept his romance with Helen out of the limelight.
It’s not known how long the couple have been together.
Fans had their first glimpse of Helen on Michael’s Instagram five months ago.
