The next restock date for Currys has seemingly been confirmed as the frenzy to hunt down a PS5 console continues into the final week of February.
The PlayStation 5 was dropped by Sony in November, having taken pre orders from September, but the console has been in short supply ever since.
PS5 consoles are facing unanticipated demand due to a shortage of components, which Sony are struggling to manufacture. Sony says the delays could last into summer.
But there are fresh reports a second wave of restocks are coming, with GAME tipped to restock consoles on Tuesday February 23, before Currys six days later.
The PS5 tracker account wrote: “KEY DATES TO NOTE DOWN: (GAME UK) Tuesday 23rd February 2021 – Rumoured.
“(CURRYS) Monday 1st March 2021 – Confirmed.
” I WILL UPDATE IF ANYTHING DROPS BEFORE THAT.”
It added: “TIMINGS: Game UK : 8am-10am or 3pm-5pm Currys: 6am-9am.”
PS5 customers are still going without the console due to the process of scalping, which has hit the headlines recently and left people furious.
A lack of consoles has left many having to go without, with restocks selling out quickly and people not being in the right place at the right time.
Over the past week, we have seen restocks at an array of major UK retailers – from GAME to Smyths, John Lewis to Amazon, and Very to Currys PC World.
Reports late last week suggested a fresh batch was hitting each store in the coming weeks. Watch this space.
